Single Origin "Extra Virgin" Olive Oils


The term "Extra Virgin" is used to describe first cold pressed, unrefined olive oils that were extracted without the use of any chemicals. Extra Virgin Olive Oil or "EVOO" as it is commonly referred too is the freshest, highest grade of olive oil on the market.

The flavors of each single origin olive oil will vary depending upon the country of origin, soil and climate conditions, and the varitial of the olive itself.

We suggest using extra virgin olive oil in dressing salads and a variety of cooked foods. One of our favorite recipes featuring extra virgin olive oil, which can be used on both salads and cooked vegetables, is our Mediterranean Dressing:

3-5 TBS extra virgin olive oil
1 TBS fresh lemon juice
1 clove garlic chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

A Few Quick Serving Ideas


1. Use extra virgin olive oil in your salad dressings.

2. Puree minced garlic, cooked potatoes and extra virgin olive oil together to make exceptionally delicious garlic mashed potatoes. Season to taste.

3. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over grilled vegetables before serving.

4. Puree extra virgin olive oil, garlic and your favorite beans together in a food processor. Season to taste and serve as a dip.

5. Instead of putting the butter dish out on the table, place a small cup of extra virgin olive oil out instead to use on your bread or rolls. For extra flavor, try adding a little Balsamic vinegar or any of your favorite spices to the extra virgin olive oil.
